Yin Yoga
-
After a long day filled with physical and mental activity, Yin offers a way to unwind, release tension, and prepare the body and mind for rest. It is a perfect compliment to your more “yang” movement based classes. This class consists of a series of longer-held, slow-moving, floor poses and deep stretches intended to increase joint mobility and hydrate fascial tissue, focusing mainly on the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, and lower spine. The modifiable, static postures are especially beneficial for muscle recovery. Yin Yoga is highly meditative and introspective, offering plenty of time and space for you to draw your awareness inside. Yin cultivates stillness, space to observe and witness, and ways soothe your physical body. This practice is accessible for all bodies and is the perfect ending to your day.

Yoga Nidra with Toni Hansen
Monthly on the Fourth Sunday from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Join us for the practice of Yoga Nidra led by Toni Hansen. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation where we rest between states of wakefulness and sleep. It is a powerful, nourishing practice that can restore healthy sleep, relieve stress and anxiety while also boosting energy and creativity. Yoga Nidra is a deeply relaxing and healing practice that brings equilibrium and harmony - physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Unlike traditional seated meditation which can be a physical strain, Yoga Nidra is experienced in a posture where the body is completely supported, such as savasana. This relaxed posture allows the body and mind to fully rest and rejuvenate while being guided in meditation.
We will begin with gentle yoga movements, followed by Yoga Nidra. You are encouraged to bring your own props such as blankets, a yoga mat, and a small pillow. The studio also has some props to use.
Friday Night Sound Bath with Kinzie Conley
Fridays from 6:00 - 7:00 pm
This class will be a crystal bowl bath that includes 7 different bowls. Each of the bowls resonates with the frequency of your chakras (energy bundles in the body), meant to align you from your root chakra all the way to your crown.
Crystal bowls contain silica, an element also found in the body. Due to the shared element, sound waves from the bowls align with the body better than Tibetan bowls which are composed of 7 different metals.
Please note sound healing is going to reharmonize your cells. Some people may have some adverse effects to this change in their body, so it is important to drink lots of water before the bath and eat a clean, nourishing meal.
Yin Yoga and Live Ambient Music with Melissa Gray

Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is for any student looking for a simple, yet deeply meditative practice (i.e. Yin) to compliment the more traditional, faster paced exercise routines (i.e. Yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles.
Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
Prepayment Required. Space is limited!

Experience a variety of guided meditations, including So-Hum and candle gazing (tratak)
Practice breath techniques (pranayama) and gentle movement (asana) to support your focus

Develop a personalized meditation plan you can bring into your daily life
We’ll also share how to choose a meditation technique that resonates with you, how to start small and build consistency, and why the simple act of showing up - even for just a few minutes - can transform your relationship with yourself and the world around you.
You’ll leave with a sense of clarity, a written plan, and a handout describing the techniques we’ve practiced (plus a few extra to explore on your own).
No prior meditation experience is required. Just bring an open mind, a journal, and anything that helps you feel comfortable and at ease.
