Rishi's Teachers>
Kyra Hooper
I began practicing yoga, like many people, at my local gym. Having a background in dance, I instantly connected with the gracefulness of asana. Over the past five years my interest has grown, but it wasn't until I came to Rishi's Crossing that I really began my yoga journey.
The best part is I learn more each day!
The greatest gift yoga has given me thus far is trust, and to me it reveals itself in many forms. First, I'm learning to trust my body. Every body has limitations and the way I honor mine is by trusting that my body will send messages, all I need to do is listen. Next, I'm learning to trust others, by doing this I have welcomed so many meaningful relationships into my life that I may never have encountered. Finally, I have learned to trust my dharma. I have faith that, no matter what decisions are made in life and how long the journey, I'll end up serving my "life's purpose". Much like the body the universe sends messages about dharma, all I have to do is be willing to hear it.
There's perfection in imperfection. It wasn't until I got laid off from my corporate career that I came to find truth in this mantra. The universe reveals opportunities in many varieties, you just have to trust yourself and trust your instinct and it's there you'll find happiness!
